Job summary

National Church Residences in Ohio seeks a Nurse Practitioner-Advanced Practice for part-time coverage in the Springfield/Dayton area. The NP will provide comprehensive care, conduct exams and manage treatment plans for residents, including chronic and acute conditions, in collaboration with the health team.

Responsibilities include independent clinical decision-making, ordering labs, and counseling on health maintenance, with after-hours on a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Master’s Degree in Nursing and a nurse practitioner certification.
• Minimum of two years as an RN in a healthcare setting.
• Travel: Moderate.
• Must have good communication, comprehension, and interpersonal skills. Must have the ability to speak, read, write and understand English.
• Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and World Wide Web.
• Current RN License and Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Conducts physical exams and comprehensive medical and social history of individuals.
• Makes independent decisions regarding management and treatment of medical problems.
• Orders, performs, and interprets laboratory tests for screening and diagnosing.
• Prescribes and orders appropriate diet, medications and other forms of treatment.
• Performs therapeutic or corrective measures, including urgent care.
• Represents the practice or the profession as an NP before local/state governing bodies, agencies, and private businesses as needed.
