Job summary

University of Wisconsin–Madison is seeking part-time teachers for Creative Learning Preschool in Madison. Teachers provide stimulating experiences to meet each child’s intellectual and emotional needs and support positive social development.

Shifts are typically 2–4 hours between 7:30am and 5:30pm, with opportunities to sub; minimum age 18, CPR within 90 days, and a high school diploma or equivalent are required. Five positions available, immediate start.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Passion for early childhood education and a strong desire to make a difference every day.
• Ability to collectively and compassionately solve problems as they arise.
• Completion of high school or its equivalent, as determined by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.
• Pediatric CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
• Excellent organizational, verbal, listening, and written communication skills.
• Willingness to complete licensing required pre-service certifications, including the Wisconsin Registry.

Responsibilities

• Our enrollment is growing and we are hiring for immediate positions!
• Teachers provide a wide range of stimulating experiences for children to meet their individual intellectual and emotional needs.
• They facilitate children’s play activities by supporting children with critical problem solving skills, participating in children’s play, and encouraging the development of positive social relationships.
• Teachers scaffold the development of children’s self-help skills in eating, dressing, toileting, and other routines to foster appropriate habits.
• Teachers serve as a positive role model for the children.
