Job summary

Acelero Learning Macedonia is seeking a Substitute Teacher for the Head Start classroom serving children aged 3 to 4. You will collaborate with a co-teacher to support 14 to 20 children and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction.

You will monitor progress, tailor activities for diverse learners, and engage families as partners. A fixed location role offers a minimum of 20 hours per week with CLASSTM-based practice and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience teaching preschool-aged children.
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse developmental needs.
• Strong communication with families and team members.

Responsibilities

• Foster meaningful interactions using CLASSTM framework to support development.
• Create a safe, organized, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Deliver developmentally appropriate instruction aligned with curriculum goals.
• Assess and track children’s progress across learning domains.
• Adapt teaching strategies to support children with diverse needs, including special needs and dual language learners.
• Engage families as partners to support learning at school and at home.
• Participate in ongoing training and reflective practices to support improvement.
