Grand Living is seeking a Prep Cook at our Cedar Rapids location to enhance the Resident experience through high-quality food production and strict quantity control. You will operate under the guidance of the Executive Chef and uphold our standards and philosophy, ensuring exceptional service for Residents and their guests.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, preferred culinary training, 1+ years in a fast-paced kitchen, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds while standing for long

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Culinary Arts or Culinary Apprenticeship preferred.
• 1+ years experience in a fast-paced kitchen preferred.
• Experience with scratch cooking preferred.
• Ability to read, write and understand English to direct, manage and train kitchen staff.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods.

Responsabilités

• Prepare meats, vegetables, potatoes, breads and desserts.
• Control quality and quantity of all food items at the station.
• Follow Executive Chef guidance and community standards.
• Model professional, friendly and timely service to Residents and guests.
