Job summary

American Dining Creations is seeking a part-time Prep Cook in Cleveland, OH. You will prepare meal ingredients, simple dishes, and condiments to meet daily production needs, supporting the culinary team to deliver a great dining experience.

Responsibilities include following recipes, washing and chopping vegetables, prepping meats, maintaining safety and sanitation, stocking supplies, and keeping the kitchen clean and organized. Weekday daytime shifts only, no nights or weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience in a related kitchen role.
• Understanding of proper food handling, preparation, and cooking procedures.
• Knowledge of sanitation and workplace safety regulations.
• Basic knife skills.
• Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Self-motivated and eager to take on additional roles/responsibilities.
• Commitment to excellence in hospitality.
• Ability to cross-train and use multiple skills.
• Safety and detail oriented.
• Able to lift 50 lbs, bend, walk, climb stairs, and stand for scheduled shifts.

Responsibilities

• Follow standards to prepare meal ingredients and simple dishes as directed by management or staff.
• Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and preparing condiments, dressings, and sauces.
• Undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces and parboiling food.
• Store foods in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety, and rotation procedures.
• Adhere to state and local food production, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Keep supplies replenished, restock coolers, and take inventory as directed.
• Assist with unloading, inspection, and proper storage of raw ingredients and supplies.
• Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and trash disposal.
• Communicate professionally and efficiently with the team.
• Be efficient and organized.
• May be assigned other duties as needed.

Summary

A Prep Cook with American Dining Creations prepares meal ingredients, simple dishes,condiments, and other related items as required to meet daily production needs. As a pivotal member ofthe culinary staff our Prep Cooks are a “go to” and reliable resource to the team to ensure we areproviding an optimal dining experience to our guests.

Responsibilities

• Ability to cross train and cross utilize skills.

• This position requires lifting 50lbs, bending, walking, climbing stairs, and standing forscheduled shifts.
