Job summary

Cape Fear Community College seeks a Nursing Faculty member to provide classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction for Associate Degree Nursing and Practical Nursing programs in Wilmington, NC. Requirements include an unrestricted NC RN license and a nursing degree (BSN or MSN). Teaching preparation is expected within the first years of employment, with ongoing professional competency

Qualifications

• Nurse faculty must hold a current unrestricted RN license in North Carolina.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in nursing; if employed after 1983, two calendar years or the equivalent of full-time clinical experience.
• Within the first three years of employment, have preparation in teaching and learning principles for adult education (45 contact hours, certificate program, education coursework, or national certification).
• Maintain competence in nursing practice and current knowledge.
• Unofficial transcripts and/or training certifications must be submitted with the application.

Responsibilities

• Provides classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction to ADN/PN students.
• Prepare lesson plans and schedule classroom and clinical activities; develop supplemental materials.
• Develop and prepare tests and other tools to evaluate student performance; grade and record scores.
• Oversee clinical experiences, evaluate students, and conduct conferences.
• Maintain records of attendance and performance; ensure compliance with CFCC policies and guidelines.
