Job summary

Pathways Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Part Time Porter/Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness across assigned floors. The role is 3 days a week, with duties including cleaning, floor care, and equipment upkeep, and requires prior floor care experience.

Must be able to move furniture and handle cleaning supplies per supervisor directions. The position emphasizes thorough cleaning of patient areas, bathrooms, and corridors, with adherence to safety and inventory procedures.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand simple instructions.
• Physical capability to lift up to 100 pounds and perform duties.
• Know floor care and cleaning procedures and safety.
• Follow supervisor instructions during training and on the job.
• Experience in housekeeping or porter role is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Keep porter/housekeeper closets in order and latched.
• Move furniture, equipment and supplies as needed.
• Collect garbage and dispose; maintain clean areas.
• Dust mop and vacuum all rooms and nursing stations.
• Clean bathrooms, sinks and walls with disinfectants.
• Support weekly tasks like dusting vents and high areas.
