Job summary

Genesis Health Clubs in Goddard, Kansas, is seeking a part-time Lifeguard to supervise pool activities and ensure member safety. You will maintain cleanliness, monitor chemical levels, and respond to emergencies.

This role requires CPR/First Aid and Lifeguarding certifications, plus strong communication and teamwork. You will work with the Aquatics Coordinator to cover shifts, support club operations, and provide a welcoming, safe environment for guests.

Qualifications

• Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
• Current Lifeguarding Certification.
• Ability to operate Excel, Word, Outlook & other software packages used by the company.
• Demonstrated ability to build culture and team environment within the club.
• Effective communication, conflict resolution, and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent and complete supervision of pool activity according to industry standards and certification guidelines.
• Engage energetically with members and guests, providing a high quality, safe, and enjoyable pool experience.
• Perform opening, mid-shift, and closing duties as assigned.
• Ensure the pool facilities meet Genesis Brand Standards 100% of the time.
• Maintain pool deck cleanliness and assist with chemical testing and logging as per guidelines.
