Madison College is recruiting a pool of highly motivated candidates to teach part-time courses for the Political Science program for the 2026-2027 academic year. Applications are accepted on a continuous basis for potential per-course assignments, including day, evening, and weekend classes.

Minimum qualifications include a Master’s degree in Political Science (or related area with 18 graduate credits in Political Science).

Qualifications

• Knowledge of current educational methods and strategies including learner-centered instruction, assessment, and inclusive practices.
• Skill in using educational technology and alternative delivery methods.
• Ability to infuse multicultural perspectives into course content and delivery.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with diverse student populations.

Responsabilités

• Facilitate student learning in the Political Science program and deliver instruction for Political Science courses.
• Develop and plan instructional strategies and delivery methods, including hybrid, face-to-face, and online.
• Participate in in-service meetings, staff development, or other department activities.
• Advise students on assignments, tests, grades, course content, and career concerns.
• Comply with college policies on testing, record-keeping, grading, and maintaining office hours for student support.
• MaintainInstructor competencies as aligned with the Faculty Quality Assurance System.
• Demonstrate commitment to the college’s mission, vision and values.
