Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Cook to join our team and bring recipes to life using fresh ingredients and a variety of cooking styles. You will work with production guidelines and safety procedures to ensure high-quality meals while maintaining a clean and organized workstation.

You will prepare meals according to standardized recipes, manage ingredients and equipment, and uphold food safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role
• Knowledge of basic food preparation methods and food safety regulations
• Must be able to acquire food safety certification
• Demonstrates basic math and counting skills
• Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
• Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items
• Safely use a variety of utensils including knives
• Operate equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
• Bake, roast, broil, steam, and use various cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods
• Arrange, garnish, and portion food according to guidelines
• Store food properly adhering to safety policies
• Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment
• Maintain excellent customer service and positive demeanor toward guests and coworkers
• Adhere to Aramark safety policies and procedures including food safety and sanitation
• Ensure security of company assets

Compensation Data

COMPENSATION: The Hourly rate for this position is $22.00 to $22.00. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

• Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including accurate food safety and sanitation
• Ensures security of company assets
