Job summary

FYZICAL Therapy & Balance Centers – Bristol, CT is seeking a Part-Time Physical Therapy Technician (PT Tech) to support therapists and patients in an outpatient clinic. This role offers hands-on experience with orthopedic, balance, vestibular and neurological rehabilitation.

You will help prepare treatment areas, assist with exercises and equipment, and maintain a clean, organized, and patient-friendly environment while observing and learning from licensed clinicians.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• College coursework in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Athletic Training, Biology preferred.
• Interest in physical therapy or healthcare is a plus.
• Friendly, professional communication and teamwork are essential.
• Must be dependable, organized, and able to multitask.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and assist with equipment setup.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment areas for patient appointments.
• Escort patients to treatment areas and assist with clinic flow.
• Help patients safely get on and off therapy and exercise equipment.
• Assist with exercises and equipment as directed by the PT.
• Set up, organize, and put away therapy equipment.
• Clean and disinfect treatment tables and equipment.
• Maintain an organized, welcoming clinic environment.
• Monitor supplies and assist with inventory.
• Provide occasional scheduling and front desk support as needed.
• Maintain patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA.
