Job summary

Mary Fay Pendleton School in Oceanside, CA is hiring a part-time Physical Education Assistant to support elementary PE classes and teachers. You will help set up, monitor, and plan activities; assist with team and individual sports; provide basic first aid; and perform light clerical tasks. Work 3.92 hours/day, 5 days/week, 7:30–11:25 a.m.

Immediate start. Requirements: 12th grade or equivalent; ability to qualify for district vehicle insurance. CPR/First Aid preferred.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade; any training/experience that provides the needed knowledge.
• Ability to qualify for District vehicle insurance.
• CPR/First Aid certification (American Red Cross) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setting up for, monitoring, and implementing elementary PE classes.
• Assist in providing instruction related to team and individual sports and fitness.
• Administer basic first aid to injured students.
• Provide basic clerical support and recording of activities for PE teachers.
• Help monitor students' progress and behavior and report to PE teachers.
