Job summary

Fordham University’s Philosophy Department seeks part-time Non-Tenure Track instructors to teach Philosophy of Human Nature and Philosophical Ethics. Courses may be offered at Rose Hill (Bronx) and Lincoln Center (Manhattan) based on scheduling needs and candidate qualifications.

Instructors are expected to foster engaging, equitable classrooms aligned with Fordham's Jesuit mission, with appointments covered by the Adjunct Faculty Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Qualifications

• Terminal degree in Philosophy (PhD or MA) is required.
• At least one year of college/university teaching experience.
• Experience teaching culturally and linguistically diverse students.
• Commitment to student-centered best teaching practices.

Responsibilities

• Teach Philosophy of Human Nature and Philosophical Ethics courses.
• Work based on department needs at Rose Hill and Lincoln Center campuses.
• Foster engaging, equitable teaching in line with Fordham's Jesuit mission.
• Adhere to Adjunct Faculty Collective Bargaining Agreement terms.
