Job summary

Balls Food Stores is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our retail pharmacy team. Part-time role with Saturday hours at our Missouri location, focusing on accurate prescription processing, data entry, and exceptional patient service.

The ideal candidate will hold an active Missouri Pharmacy Technician license, have weekend availability, and bring strong customer service and teamwork to ensure compliant, efficient pharmacy operations and a welcoming patient experience.

Qualifications

Active Pharmacy Technician registration/license in good standing with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy.
Ability to work consistently at an assigned store location.
Weekend availability.
Preferred: prior retail pharmacy experience.

Responsibilities

Answer telephone and handle questions that do not require a pharmacist's expertise.
Receive written prescriptions or telephoned refill requests.
Gather information to prepare prescriptions (name, DOB, address, phone, allergies, insurance info).
Enter data into the computer for filling prescriptions; assist pharmacists with counting, pouring, labeling and pricing.
Maintain inventory and stock shelves; processing insurance claims and verifying payments.
Provide courteous customer service and assist patients with prescription pickup.
