Job summary

PharMerica in Santa Teresa, NM is seeking a Part Time Pharmacy Technician to join a closed‑door pharmacy team serving long‑term care and senior living clients. You will fill prescriptions, label products, and assist with inventory in a non‑retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pharmacy Technician license as required by state.
• Experience in a pharmacy setting and medical terminology.
• Able to operate a computer and identify medications.
• Detail oriented with strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions and package medications for dispensing.
• Label products with cautions and auxiliary labels.
• Prepare medications including non-sterile compounding.
• Enter patient and prescription data into the system.
• Manage inventory and remove expired medications.
• Handle returned medications per protocol.
• Communicate professionally with customers.
• Assist onboarding and training new staff.
• Work in Narcotics room and operate automated prepack machines.
• Mix IV medications and sanitize IV room/equipment.
• Service facility-based dispensing machines.
• Perform other pharmacy support tasks as assigned.
