Job summary
CVS Health in California is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our retail team. You will work under the supervision of licensed pharmacists, assisting with prescription processing, patient questions and daily tasks to support safe, accurate care.
This part-time role offers opportunities to grow your clinical and insurance knowledge while adhering to state regulations and company standards. Previous pharmacy experience is helpful but not required; completion of CVS Pharmacy Technician Training
Qualifications
- Must comply with state board of pharmacy requirements and laws governing practice
- Minimum age: in some states 16+ where required
- Requires attention and focus to tasks over time
- Excellent customer service orientation
- Clear communication with customers and colleagues
- Strong mathematical reasoning for dosage calculations
- Ability to resolve problems and determine appropriate actions
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in filling prescriptions accurately and safely
- Provide customer service and address questions and concerns
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with regulatory standards
- Complete CVS Pharmacy Technician Training Program and pursue state registration
- Support daily pharmacy operations and multitask in a fast-paced environment
