Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, a part of Optum and UnitedHealth Group, is seeking a Part Time Pharmacy Technician in Summersville, WV. You will support the mental health and specialty pharmacy by dispensing prescriptions and handling clerical tasks under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.

The role is 20 hours per week with a flexible schedule; open hours are Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm EST. Excellent customer service and accuracy are essential; local travel not required.

Qualifications

• Active WV Pharmacy Technician license required.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to consumers and clinic staff.
• Fills prescription orders and verifies under direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.
• Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies.
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders.
• Verifies medication stock and updates inventory records in the system.
• Assist Pharmacist with pharmacy functions and compliance with federal/state requirements.
• Perform clerical duties for the department.
• Maintain professional communication with customers and team.

We seek a Part Time Pharmacy Technician to support all functions of the Genoa mental health and specialty pharmacy primarily through dispensing medical prescriptions and performing necessary clerical duties while under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.

Hours

This is a Part Time, 20 hour a week, position. The manager is willing to be flexible with you on the schedule during the week. The Pharmacy is open Monday-Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm EST with lunch from 12:00pm to 1:00pm EST

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff
• Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the Registered Pharmacist
• Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
• Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
• Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
• Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
• Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience
