Cub in Freeport Illinois is looking for a dedicated individual to fill a Part Time Pharmacy Technician position. Pharmacy Technician team members at Cub are responsible for processing prescriptions, record keeping, and stock support. The position also maintains shelf stock to ensure maximum product availability and sales.

Job Responsibilities

• Assists the pharmacist in filling prescriptions
• Processes customers’ orders ensuring price accuracy and product knowledge
• Ensures positive customer relations
• Handles hazardous drugs
• Performs department receiving and stocking
• Assists in ordering
• Pulls bottles of drugs for pharmacists to fill prescriptions
• Organizes and cleans
• Maintains Board of Pharmacy regulations

Job Requirements

• Communicates through two‑way verbal and written communication (speech, hearing and writing)
• Operates and uses various office equipment (personal computer, telephone, fax)
• Works extended hours, including weekends and evenings
• Works independently with minimal supervision
• Writes and sees things in close proximity (reading distance)
• Comprehends written and verbal communication
• Reads/view computer screens for extensive periods of time
• Requires High School Diploma or GED
• Good judgement is required, as direct supervision may not be immediately available
