Job Summary

Assist pharmacy staff in triaging incoming prescriptions, delivering filled prescriptions to patients, and performing cashier duties. Work under the supervision of a pharmacist and follow standard procedures to accomplish assigned tasks.

Job Duties

1. Assist in the triaging of incoming prescriptions.
2. Verify and gather necessary patient information including name, address, phone number, date of birth, allergies, chronic conditions, request for non-safety caps, and insurance details.
3. Assess workload, establish prescription pickup times, and queue prescriptions for processing.
4. Assist in delivering prescriptions to patients, including obtaining signatures.
5. Perform cash register duties within the Pharmacy Department.
6. Provide quality customer service to all customers.
7. Maintain a professional environment through housekeeping duties, including replenishing vials, dispensing containers, labels, and supplies.
8. Maintain confidentiality of all patient information.
9. Stay current with all State and Federal employment requirements.
10. Perform all store clerk duties as needed.
11. Complete all mandatory and regulatory training programs.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Educational Requirements

• High School Diploma (or currently enrolled) or GED is required.
• Preferred: AS Degree or higher.

Experience

• Vermont Employees registered as Pharmacy Technicians preferred.
• Hospital or retail pharmacy experience preferred.

Special Conditions of Employment

• Drug test.
• Initial and ongoing exclusion, sanction, and disciplinary monitoring.
• Additional eligibility requirements based on the specific position.

Compensation

$15.50 - $16.00 per hour. The final offer will consider skills, experience, and education. KPH Healthcare Services, Inc. complies with all wage regulations.
