Qualifications

  • Follows the HealthDirect Standard of Practice to dispense prescriptions.
  • Performs all quality assurance steps to insure a technically accurate prescription is dispensed.
  • Follows State and Federal regulations governing the practice of Pharmacy.
  • Oversees the initial submission, resubmission and collection of all third-party claims.
  • Manages and balances the pharmacy inventory to ensure maximum turns while remaining in-stock for customer needs.
  • Insures prescription files and other manual records are maintained in accordance with all state and federal guidelines.
  • Insure outstanding customer service is exhibited by all employees always.
  • Insure all loss Prevention policies are followed by all employees and report deviations from said policies to Loss Prevention.
  • Oversees the maintenance of the pharmacy department to insure a clean and professional environment.
  • Maintains and develops professional relationships with doctors and others in the health service professions.
  • Maintains confidentiality regarding all patient information.
  • Facilitates communication between professional staff and pharmacy personnel.
  • Assists in meeting or exceeding budgetary sales guidelines and operating the pharmacy within said guidelines.
  • Interface with various auditors and outside agencies, as needed.
  • Responsible for completing all mandatory and regulatory training programs.

Responsibilities

  • Dispense prescriptions following HealthDirect standards and quality assurance steps.
  • Report dispensing incidents promptly per company guidelines.
  • Comply with all State and Federal pharmacy regulations.
  • Oversee third-party claims submissions, submissions resubmissions, and collections.
  • Balance pharmacy inventory to maintain in-stock levels for customers.
  • Maintain confidential patient records and ensure compliance with guidelines.
  • Ensure excellent customer service is consistently delivered by staff.
  • Monitor loss prevention policies and report deviations.
  • Maintain a clean, professional pharmacy environment; support interdepartmental relationships.
  • Engage with doctors and health care professionals to support patient care.
  • Stay informed about industry developments and integrate relevant practices into daily work.
  • Coordinate communication between pharmacy staff and other professionals.
