AmerisourceBergen is expanding with a new Sterling, Illinois pharmacy location and seeks a PRN Staff Pharmacist to join our team. The role focuses on dispensing, patient counseling, and collaboration with prescribers in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

You will evaluate therapy plans, ensure medication safety, and support operations and marketing activities. Prior retail/ambulatory experience and an Illinois license are required, with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Active pharmacist license in Illinois (or eligibility)
• Degree in Pharmacy: PharmD or BS Pharmacy from an accredited school
• 1–3 years of direct retail/ambulatory care pharmacy experience required
• Experience evaluating, preparing, dispensing medications and patient counseling

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, prepare, and dispense medications per standards and regulations
• Provide excellent customer service and clinical care to patients
• Consult with prescribers on therapy plans and drug interactions
• Assist with pharmacy operations, scheduling, and staff oversight
• Submit adjudicated claims and ensure reimbursement accuracy
