Karla’s Pet Care, LLC in Elk Grove provides professional in-home pet sitting and private dog walking. We’re seeking reliable, mature-minded team members for meaningful, flexible part-time work in our established Elk Grove operation.

This driving-based role offers morning, midday, and evening shifts, with weekend/holiday availability. Paid training is provided as you support local families and keep pets active and safe.

Qualifications

• Live in Elk Grove.
• Be at least 18 years old.
• Hold a valid driver's license.
• Own a reliable vehicle that's available when scheduled.
• Carry California auto insurance.
• Be comfortable driving to homes throughout Elk Grove.
• Be physically able to walk dogs and perform routine pet-care duties.
• Use smartphone apps for directions, scheduling, messages, mileage, photographs, and visit notes.
• Offer dependable availability during at least one regular time block.
• Be available for a portion of weekends and holidays.
• Pass a background check.

Responsibilities

Karla’s Pet Care provides professional in-home pet sitting and private dog walking exclusively in Elk Grove. We’re adding caring, mature-minded, and dependable people to our established team.

Previous professional pet-care experience isn’t necessary. Your reliability, judgment, attention to detail, and willingness to learn are what matter most. Paid training is provided.

Meaningful Work With a Flexible Part-Time Schedule

Team members may work within one or more of the following periods:

7:00-10:00 AM: Morning feeding and pet-care visits
10:00 AM-2:00 PM: Midday dog walks and check-ins
4:00-8:00 PM: Dinner, exercise, and evening care

Pet care continues on weekends and holidays, so some availability during those times is necessary.

Position duties:

When clients are working, traveling, or away from home, you’ll provide the dependable care their pets need. Depending on the household, that may mean:

• Taking a dog for a neighborhood walk
• Preparing meals and refreshing water
• Spending quality time with a cat or other household pet
• Providing medication according to written directions
• Keeping feeding and litter areas clean
• Checking that a pet appears healthy and comfortable
• Photographing the pet and updating the family

This is independent work, but you’ll have guidance and support from experienced leadership and fellow team members.

Essential Requirements

For this driving-based position, every applicant must:

• Be physically able to walk dogs and complete routine pet-care duties

• Offer dependable availability during at least one regular time block
• Be available for a portion of weekends and holidays
• Pass a background check
