Job summary

Destination Pet in Bluffton, SC is seeking an Animal Care Attendant for flexible hours and a part-time schedule. You will be on your feet, interact with pets, and help maintain clean enclosures, meals, and play routines.

You should enjoy animals, be able to lift up to 40 lbs, and be available evenings, weekends, and holidays. Training is provided, and tips are offered on top of an hourly rate of $14–$15. Telehealth and benefits like 401K and pet insurance are available to eligible staff.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• On-your-feet, hands-on role with pets.
• Evenings, weekends and holidays availability required.
• Prior kennel or animal care experience is a plus, but brand-new applicants are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Keep pet enclosures and play areas spotless, safe, and sanitized.
• Serve meals and fresh water to pets.
• Monitor health, happiness and well-being of each guest.
• Report anything unusual to management.
• Supervise playtime and assist with brushing and bath time.
• Handle laundry and belongings for pets.
• Assist with various duties as assigned.
