OrthoIndy YMCA is seeking a Specialty Program Instructor I to lead classes with a focus on safety and a non-competitive environment for members. You will work under the Program Director’s supervision and deliver quality leadership.

The role requires NOCA PT certification, CPR/First Aid, and an 18+ age minimum. Flexibility in scheduling and opportunities for professional development are offered at OrthoIndy YMCA in Indianapolis.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must meet NOCA certified personal training certification.
• Current CPR, First Aid, Safety & Risk Management, Child Abuse Prevention certifications or the ability to obtain within 60-90 days of employment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding personal information on children, family and YMCA staff.
• Professional experience in personal training is preferred.

• Under the direction and supervision of the Program Director, the Specialty Program Instructor I will be primarily responsible for providing quality leadership and supervision, in classes, while maintaining a safe, non-competitive environment for YMCA members.
