Sittercity.com is seeking a compassionate Part-Time Support Companion to assist a kind, non-speaking nine-year-old autistic girl. The role focuses on safety, engagement, and growth, with 10–15 hours per week, mostly evenings Monday–Friday and weekend days.

You will provide one-on-one support, help her navigate daily activities, and adapt interactions to her needs using non-verbal communication methods. Collaboration with family is essential.

This position is essential for ensuring her safety and engagement in meaningful activities. The ideal candidate will be dependable, possess a strong work ethic, and be committed to growing with our family. This role requires up to 10 to 15 hours per week, primarily during evenings Monday to Friday, and weekend days. Open to splitting role between two individuals to accommodate schedule availability, and have general schedule flexibility.

As a Support Companion, you will provide one‑on‑one assistance to help her navigate daily activities, support her social and sensory needs, and engage her in activities that foster learning and socialization. You will be part of a supportive team that includes her family and other professionals, all working together to help her grow, thrive, and be safe.
