Dental Associates in Connecticut is seeking a dedicated Periodontist to join our Shelton, Prospect and New Haven offices. This part-time role provides excellent clinical variety and a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

You will diagnose and treat periodontal diseases, develop individualized plans, and work with a supportive team to deliver high-quality care. This role offers meaningful patient relationships and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• DMD or DDS from an accredited dental school.
• Completion of an accredited periodontics residency program.
• Current, valid dental license in the applicable state.
• Strong diagnostic and treatment-planning skills.
• Knowledge of periodontal diseases, treatment methods, and clinical protocols.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent chairside manner and patient-management skills.
• Commitment to patient education and high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with a clinical team.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive periodontal examinations and evaluate the health of gums and supporting structures.
• Diagnose periodontal diseases and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide nonsurgical periodontal therapy, including scaling and root planing.
• Perform periodontal surgical procedures as clinically indicated.
• Evaluate patients for dental implant placement and provide implant-related surgical care.
• Monitor treatment outcomes and recommend periodontal maintenance.
• Educate patients on periodontal health, treatment options, and oral hygiene practices.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and progress notes.
• Collaborate with general dentists and other specialists to coordinate care.
• Maintain knowledge of periodontal techniques and best practices.
• Follow all clinical, safety, and compliance standards.
