Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public at a government location following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly, following site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel or emergency services.
• Conduct regular patrols of government buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity, reporting unusual conditions to site leadership.
• Complete reports, logs, and incident documentation accurately and communicate information during shift changes.
