Job summary

Lansing Community College is seeking an adjunct instructor for Music (Percussion Instruction) to teach Applied and Private Lessons for percussion students. This PT position may involve teaching other courses within the Music Program and contributing to curriculum and assessment initiatives.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Music from a regionally accredited college or university, or Master's degree in a related field with graduate‑level coursework in Music.
• Bachelor's degree in Music or related field plus 2 years of professional experience; or Associate's degree plus 4 years of professional experience; or 6 years of professional experience.
• Unofficial transcripts required if a degree is required for the position.

Responsibilities

• Teach Applied and Private Percussion Lessons to percussion students.
• Participate in curriculum and course development, and program coordination.
• Participate in student assessment initiatives within the program and college.
• Attend department meetings and divisional/college‑wide committees focusing on continual program improvement.
• Mentor and advise students, and contribute to college initiatives while upholding diversity goals.

Master's degree in Music

Bachelor's degree in Music + 2 years professional experience

Associate's degree in Music + 4 years professional experience
