Job summary

Stars Behavioral Health Group is seeking a Peer Support Counselor (Part-Time) in Fresno, CA. This role focuses on peer-based support in a 24/7 inpatient facility and community settings, with supervision for AMFT/ACSW/APCC hours where applicable.

Starting compensation ranges from $19.08 to $22.08 per hour, with benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, plus paid CEU opportunities. The position requires a high school diploma and a California driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Peer Support Specialist Certification: successful completion within one year of employment.
• Valid California Driver’s License required.
• Personal experience as a consumer in the child welfare, probation, or mental health systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer-based support services to clients in the community and at program sites.
• Offer one-on-one mentoring, support and role modeling to clients and families.
• Assist clients in navigating behavioral health, housing, education, employment, healthcare and other supports.
• Document services timely and accurately within the peer scope of practice.
