Job summary

The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai affiliated with NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst seeks a part-time Pediatric Ophthalmologist to join Elmhurst Hospital Center in Elmhurst, NY. The physician will care for children in the outpatient clinic and contribute to teaching and academic advancement.

The position offers opportunities for program development, quality and safety initiatives, and CME. A faculty appointment will be provided commensurate with credentials and experience.

Qualifications

• MD degree and NY license with DEA and Medicaid number.
• Board certification/eligibility in Pediatric Ophthalmology is required.
• Fellowship training in a related discipline preferred.
• Experience in resident education and quality/safety initiatives is desirable.
• Clinical excellence with emphasis on strabismus and pediatric care.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient pediatric ophthalmology care.
• Teach residents and participate in medical education.
• Contribute to program development in quality and safety.
• Engage in academic activities and scholarly work.
• Collaborate with hospital leadership on service improvements.
