Job summary

Pediatric Clinic, a member of Summit Medical Group, is seeking a Board-Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team. This part-time role will float among our three Knoxville offices, caring for infants to adolescents and their families in a family-centered practice.

Hours: 3 days per week. Requires completion of an accredited NP program, Tennessee RN/APRN licenses with pediatric certification, and current BLS. Prior pediatric primary care or urgent care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Board-certified pediatric NP preferred.
• Active Tennessee RN and APRN licenses with pediatric certification.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs pediatric physical exams from newborn through adolescence and collects age-appropriate histories.
• Maintains and reviews pediatric records, growth charts and immunization histories.
• Orders and interprets age-appropriate labs and screening procedures.
• Develops therapeutic plans in collaboration with physicians as needed.
• Educates families about medications, nutrition, development, and immunizations.
• Triages nursing and family calls, provides guidance and escalates urgent concerns.
