Pediatric Dentistry of CenLA is seeking an experienced Part-Time Dental Assistant to support a busy clinical team and help create positive visits for children. Responsibilities include taking radiographs, assisting during procedures, and educating patients and parents. Prior pediatric experience is a plus, and the role offers growth in a welcoming practice environment.

The position is three days per week, approximately 23 hours weekly, with a focus on patient safety and infection control.

Qualifications

• Experienced dental assistant in a clinical setting.
• Strong communication with children and parents.
• Reliable, collaborative teammate in a busy practice.

Responsabilités

• Assist the dentist during pediatric procedures.
• Take digital radiographs (bitewings, panoramic).
• Provide age-appropriate oral hygiene and diet education.
• Schedule follow-up exams and manage daily schedule.
• Prepare and turnover chairs and operatories.
• Support parent consultations and treatment plan discussions.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean sterilization area.
• Restock rooms and supplies for next patient.
• Follow infection-control procedures and OSHA guidelines.
• Support marketing and community outreach activities.
