Job summary

Care for Kids in Texas is hiring part-time CMAs, LVNs and RNs to support our pediatric clinics in Cedar Park and across the region. The role blends clinical and front-office duties: patient intake and triage, assisting providers, administering meds, phlebotomy and basic labs, radiology support, EMR documentation, insurance verification, and help with registration and follow-ups.

Qualifications

• Current CMA/RMA/NCMA certification, Texas LVN license, or Texas RN license.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum 6 months of recent clinical experience in pediatrics, urgent care, family medicine, or similar outpatient setting.
• Experience with patient intake, vital signs, clinical documentation, and assisting providers.

Responsibilities

• Welcome, room, and triage pediatric patients, obtaining vital signs and presenting concerns.
• Communicate pertinent patient information and abnormal findings to the provider.
• Document patient information and visit details in the EMR.
• Assist providers with procedures, vaccinations, phlebotomy, laboratory testing, and radiology support.
• Administer and document medications as directed within scope of practice.
• Collect specimens and perform CLIA-waived testing.
• Prepare, stock, and maintain examination rooms.
• Support patient and caregiver education and follow-up.
• Assist with radiology procedures and patient positioning.
• Support front-office functions: patient registration and insurance verification.
• Maintain HIPAA and OSHA compliance.
• Collaborate with team to maintain efficient patient flow.
