Job summary

The Staff Pad in Helena, MT is partnering with a healthcare organization to hire a Food Service Unit Host (Dietary Aide) to support patient meal service and nutrition care. This role works directly with patients to ensure meals are accurate, timely, and aligned with prescribed dietary needs, helping create a positive experience during their stay.

The position offers part-time, flexible shifts including weekends and evenings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Previous food service experience preferred (healthcare setting a plus)
• Familiarity with therapeutic diets is a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with menu selections and meal ordering based on dietary guidelines
• Ensure meals are delivered accurately and in a timely manner
• Review trays for quality, accuracy, and compliance with therapeutic diets
• Document patient meal intake and communicate updates as needed
• Provide clear, friendly communication with patients and families regarding dietary needs
• Prepare light food items and support basic kitchen tasks
• Stock unit pantries and maintain adequate supplies
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hospital protocols
• Collaborate with dietary and clinical teams to support patient care
