Job summary

Legacy Church is seeking a Part-Time Pastoral Care Pastor to provide compassionate spiritual support to our congregation and community at the Clovis/Portales campus. The role centers on being present with people during significant life moments, offering prayer, encouragement, counseling, and spiritual care in celebration, transition, difficulty, and loss.

The ideal candidate loves people, communicates well, and upholds the mission, vision, Statement of Faith, and Core Values of Legacy Church.

Qualifications

Clear calling to pastoral ministry.
Demonstrated spiritual maturity, compassion, wisdom, and integrity.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Visit congregants hospitalized or in need of pastoral care.
Provide personal prayer and pastoral support via calls, emails, or visits.
Offer pastoral counseling within policy and refer to licensed professionals when needed.
Officiate wedding ceremonies in line with Legacy Church policies.
Officiate Celebration of Life (funeral) services and related activities.
Respond to inquiries within 24 hours when possible.
Maintain confidentiality and pastoral discretion at all times.
Collaborate with staff and volunteers as needed.
Support the Volunteer Team and church ministries.
Follow Legacy Church Handbook policies and core values.
