Job summary

Pathwayindy in Indianapolis is seeking a Part Time Transportation Driver for Pathway’s Micro Transit System. You will transport participants safely, coordinate routes, and communicate delays to passengers and employers.

Responsibilities include daily vehicle inspections, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to DOT rules. Requires a valid CDL for passenger vehicles and the ability to work weekends and evenings.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma
• Must Have a Minimum of Two (2) Years For Hire Endorsement
• Must have a Minimum of Two (2) Years of Experience related to the specified Duties and Responsibilities
• Must be able to pass a Criminal Background Check
• Must pass DOT Physical & Drug Screening
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have a Reliable Vehicle with Current Vehicle Insurance
• Must possess a valid and current Commercial Driver’s License, endorsed for Passenger Vehicles
• Full-Time: Must be able to work 40 Hours per Week
• Must work some Weekends (8-10 per year) and Evenings (rotate shifts with other drivers to cover 7am-8pm schedule)
• Hourly Pay Rate: Negotiable Based on Education & Experience
• Knowledge of Indianapolis and Far-Eastside area Preferred

Responsibilities

• Follow the scheduled route in a timely manner
• Safely pick up and drop off all passengers to their designated stop
• Represent Pathway Resource Center, Inc. in a professional manner
• Employ defensive driving techniques to operate the transit bus
• Obey all state and federal traffic laws, safety procedures, and transit regulations
• Enforce COVID-19 protocol to reduce risk of exposure
• Occasionally prevent or stop unruly behavior from passengers
• Communicate delays or issues with passengers and employers along a route
• Maintain vehicle condition, daily cleanliness, and report maintenance needs
• Start and inspect buses weekly, submit inspection sheets, sanitize daily
• Deep clean buses 2x per month, end of work week
• Perform other duties to support organization
