Job summary

The El Paso County Parks Department is seeking a part-time Park Maintenance Technician for the East District in Calhan, CO. This role focuses on groundskeeping, facility maintenance, and light equipment repair to keep the Calhan Fairgrounds and parks inviting.

The position offers an hourly range of $18.50–$21.00 and a schedule of Friday and Saturday 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m. and Sunday 6:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m., up to 25 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with grounds maintenance, facility or equipment maintenance, and construction tasks.
• Operates power tools and equipment for maintenance projects.
• Drives County vehicles and uses equipment per guidelines.
• Performs routine maintenance and cleaning of vehicles, equipment, and tools.
• Supports special events and other activities.
• Performs other duties as required.
