Job summary

Ascentria Care Alliance seeks a Part Time Driver for St. Albans, VT to support the Good News Garage program. You will transport Ready-to-Go clients in an Ascentria fleet vehicle, assist riders, and ensure safety and timely service.

Responsibilities include using a smartphone and GPS for navigation, recording ride data, and communicating with dispatch. A valid license with a clean record is required; shifts span 6:00 AM–6:00 PM. Background checks will be conducted.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to assist riders with entry/exit and provide safe transportation.
• Experience in passenger transport is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport Ready-to-Go clients safely, courteously, and on schedule.
• Assist passengers entering/exiting and accompany to destination as needed.
• Install/adjust child seats and ensure safety restraints when required.
• Use smartphone navigation to locate clients and record ride data accurately.
• Communicate with dispatch about changes, delays, or issues.
• Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report safety concerns.
