Job summary

Archdiocese of St. Louis Bishop DuBourg High School is seeking a compassionate and student-focused Part-Time Paraprofessional for the 2026-2027 school year.

You will support students with diverse learning needs by assisting with classroom instruction, reinforcing academic skills, and promoting positive outcomes in collaboration with teachers and learning support staff. This role involves implementing accommodations, collecting data, and helping maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or college coursework preferred.
  • Experience in teaching support, tutoring, instructional support, or paraprofessional work preferred but not required.
  • Interest in working with high school students and supporting their academic, social, and emotional growth.
  • Ability to follow instructional plans and implement accommodations under guidance of teachers.

Responsibilities

  • Support students by implementing individualized learning plans with modified instruction and remedial activities.
  • Provide one-on-one and small-group academic assistance as directed by teachers.
  • Assist with behavioral interventions and real-time coaching for positive student behavior.
  • Collaborate with teachers and learning support specialists to implement instructional strategies and accommodations.
  • Collect, document, and report academic and behavioral data.
  • Communicate student progress, observations, and concerns professionally.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding student information.
  • Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support and uphold the mission and values of Catholic education.

Job Summary

Bishop DuBourg High School, a coeducational Catholic school dedicated to empowering young people to reach their full potential, is seeking a compassionate and student-focused Part-Time Paraprofessional for the 2026-2027 school year. This position plays a key role in supporting students with diverse learning needs by assisting with classroom instruction, reinforcing academic skills, and promoting positive educational outcomes in collaboration with teachers and learning support staff. The Part-Time Paraprofessional works directly with students and classroom teachers to provide instructional and behavioral support. This individual will help implement accommodations and modifications, reinforce learning objectives, and encourage student success in a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Demonstrated interest in working with high school students and supporting their academic, social, and emotional growth.
  • Ability to follow instructional plans and implement accommodations under the guidance of teachers and learning support staff.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and high ethical standards.
