Qualifications

• Ability to transfer students up to 50 lbs with assistance and training.

Responsibilities

• Support the philosophy of the classroom and assist with instruction.
• Follow directions of the supervising teacher and take initiative to help.
• Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills with students and staff.
• Promote positive self-concept and sensitivity in relating to students.
• Assist with implementing IEP-related activities and data collection.
• Maintain regular attendance and support daily duties as assigned.
• Ensure safe student handling and transfer when trained.
• Participate in community activities and field trips as needed.
• Complete required professional development and reports on time.
