Lancaster-Lebanon IU13 is seeking a part-time paraeducator to support instruction in special education classrooms. This role involves assisting the teacher and providing support to students, including those with disabilities.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be willing to meet certification requirements within 6 months. Essential skills include communication and basic computer literacy. The position offers a competitive hourly salary of $18.90.
Schedule: 5.5 hours per day (9:45 am‑3:15 pm), Monday‑Friday, 185 days per year.
Minimum hourly salary: $18.90.
Status: Part‑time.
This position is for a paraeducator in special education classrooms, providing instructional support to the teacher (instructional leader) and students under the general supervision of the Program Supervisor of Special Education.

Verbal communication skills and the ability to follow directions.
Basic skills related to data entry, internet/email usage, word processing, and spreadsheets.
The strength and ability to lift and/or assist in lifting students ranging in age from pre‑school to twenty‑one and any assistive appliances, for example, wheelchair.
The ability to physically restrain students in emotional stress by using the Crisis Prevention Institute Training (CPI), Safe Crisis Management (SCM) or Quality Behavior Supports (QBS) method, depending on program need, for which training will be provided.
Must be able to contextually run/sprint after/to an eloping child and be able to help a learner off the floor should they drop to the floor under their own power.
