Job summary

Spee-Dee Delivery Service is seeking a Part-Time Package Handler to load, unload, and sort freight accurately and in a timely manner to ensure quick delivery. This position requires lifting up to 50 pounds repetitively and up to 100 pounds occasionally, with shifts including Tue-Sat mornings or Mon-Fri evenings in Minnesota.

Responsibilities include unloading packages, scanning barcodes for tracking, sorting by zip code or destination, and maintaining a clean, organized warehouse.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Able to work with all freight types including hazardous materials, perishable foods, alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals.

Responsibilities

• Unload packages by hand from fleet vehicles.
• Scan package barcode labels while unloading for tracking purposes.
• Sort each package by zip code, city, or state.
• Stack freight into trailers and routes to prevent damage and maximize space.
• Wash fleet vehicles to maintain company image as needed.
• Perform light custodial duties to maintain a safe warehouse environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
