Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service, Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Package Handler in Duluth, MN. You will load, unload, and sort freight to ensure timely delivery and accurate tracking, working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly and up to 100 pounds occasionally, with shifts starting in the late afternoon or early morning. Compensation is $18.00–$20.00 per hour based on experience.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Able to read labels quickly and work independently.
• Excellent verbal communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and sort freight accurately.
• Scan package barcode labels during unloading for tracking.
• Sort packages by zip code, city, or state.
• Stack freight in trailers and routes to prevent damage and maximize space.
• Wash fleet vehicles as needed to maintain image.
• Perform light custodial duties to keep warehouse clean and safe.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The corporate headquarters and main sort facility is located in St. Cloud, MN. We currently employ over 1,800 employees company wide and over the years we have expanded throughout the Midwest.

Job Summary

The Part-Time Package Handler will load, unload, and sort freight accurately and in a timely manner to ensure quick delivery.

Hours and Wages

• Available Shifts:
  • Monday-Friday, 4:30PM start
  • Tuesday-Saturday 6:00AM start
• $18.00-20.00 per hour, based on experience

Duties And Responsibilities

• Unload packages by hand from fleet vehicles
• Scan package barcode labels while unloading for tracking purposes
• Sort each package by zip code, city, or state
• Stack freight into trailers and routes in a manner to prevent damage and utilize space efficiently
• Wash fleet vehicles to maintain company image, as needed
• Perform light custodial duties to maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education And Experience

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively and up to 100 pounds occasionally
• Ability to work with all types to freight which include, but are not limited to hazardous material, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals
