Role Description

This part-time, on-site Physician Assistant (PA) role is located at QUAKERTOWN FAMILY PRACTICE, PC in Quakertown, PA and Sellersville,PA .The PA will provide direct patient care, including conducting histories and physicals, diagnosing common conditions, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing evidence-based treatment plans under the supervision of a physician. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing follow-up visits, performing routine procedures within scope of practice, prescribing medications as permitted, and documenting all encounters in the medical record. The PA will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to coordinate care, support chronic disease management, and provide patient education on treatment plans, preventive care, and healthy lifestyles. The role may also involve assisting with care transitions, responding to patient messages, and contributing to quality improvement activities within the practice.

Qualifications

• Current Physician Assistant licensure in Pennsylvania and graduation from an accredited PA program.
• Certification by NCCPA or eligibility for certification, with current BLS (and preferably ACLS) certification.
• Clinical skills in primary care, including history and physical examination, diagnosis and management of common acute and chronic conditions, and routine office procedures.
• Ability to use electronic health records (EHR) KNOWLDEGE of MEDENT EHR Helpful.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with patients, families, and a multidisciplinary care team in a respectful and collaborative manner.
• Commitment to patient-centered care, including cultural sensitivity, confidentiality, and professionalism in all interactions.
• Reliable time management skills to balance part-time schedule requirements, patient volume, and administrative tasks.
• Prior outpatient or family medicine experience is preferred but not required; willingness to learn and adapt to practice protocols is essential.
