Job summary

Chaminade Resort & Spa in Santa Cruz, CA seeks a part-time Overnight Security Officer to guard guests and property from 10pm to 6am, 2–3 days per week. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and security or police experience, with a preference for hospitality background and First Aid/CPR certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior hospitality/purchasing experience preferred.
• At least 1 year customer service experience preferred.
• 2 years security or police experience, preferably in hotel environment.
• 2 years of college in safety, security or hospitality.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• First Aid/CPR certification, instructor rating preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

We are looking for a highly engaging, safety and customer focused individual to join our team as Security Officer. The successful candidate for this role is engaging, highly detailed, and is open to learning and leading by example, responds in a professional and courteous manner to guests and team, as well as being there to support the team both personally and professionally. The Security Officer is responsible for the safety and security of guests and employees and the property. This includes supporting other department activities to help assure the highest levels of guest and employee service.
