Job summary

Needham Public Schools is seeking a Temporary .5 Occupational Therapist to join our inclusive, dynamic team. This 0.5 FTE position will serve Newman and Mitchell Elementary Schools (K-5) and support students through individualized Education Programs.

The OT provides related services per IEPs, conducts evaluations, and delivers fine motor and sensory processing interventions, with collaboration with educational teams and families to monitor progress.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree is required.
• Commonwealth of Massachusetts licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• Experience working with students with ASD, intellectual impairment, neurological impairment and other developmental delays.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services per student IEPs and conduct related evaluations.
• Deliver individual and small group therapy focusing on fine motor development and sensory processing.
• Consult with educational teams to ensure full access to learning opportunities.
• Engage with parents/guardians to monitor progress and support generalization of skills.
