Job summary

UNFI in Illinois is hiring for a part-time Order Selection associate in our warehouse. You will pull customer orders accurately and efficiently, stack pallets, and operate motorized equipment with safety in mind.

This role offers weekly pay and a starting rate of $21.25 per hour with $1 raises after 6 months and after 1 year. Benefits eligible after 30 days include health, dental, vision, 401k, PTO.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse or distribution environment is required.
• Experience with headset/voice order selection is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and work in a fast-paced setting.

Job Overview

What does it mean to be a part of the Order Selection team?

In this fast-paced role, you are the boots on the ground and responsible for accurately and efficiently pulling customer orders within the warehouse. This role requires strategic thinking and attention to detail while palletizing orders and ensuring they are placed in the correct assigned locations. You will operate motorized equipment including Electric Pallet Jacks while ensuring that you safely and accurately move product within the warehouse. Job Responsibilities

• Receives, stores, and/or selects various health & beauty products, general merchandise products or supplies from warehouse stock
• Transports product throughout the warehouse
• Work in a fast-paced environment
• Maintains order selection performance standards of speed and accuracy with minimum damage
• Build stable and well cubed pallet
• Ensures the correct labels are on the correct pallet

Job Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• Must have experience in a warehouse or distribution company environment
• Must have experience with headset/voice order selection
• Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds, frequent bending, stooping and lifting
• Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available

UNFI anticipates paying the above-referenced pay rate (or within the above-referenced pay range) for this position. Actual Pay, where applicable, will depend on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, training, and any requirements under applicable collective bargaining agreements.
