Qualifications

• DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school.
• Completion of an accredited Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
• Active Washington dental license (or ability to obtain).
• Idaho dental license (or ability to obtain) is a plus.
• Active DEA registration.
• Strong clinical judgment and surgical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to providing outstanding, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Perform the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures, including: Tooth extractions, dental implants, bone grafting, orthognathic surgery, oral pathology management.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Collaborate with referring general dentists, orthodontists, pediatric dentists, and other specialists to ensure exceptional patient care.
• Administer local anesthesia, nitrous oxide, and IV sedation in accordance with state regulations and patient needs.
• Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans, surgical procedures, post-operative care and expected outcomes.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records in compliance with HIPAA and practice standards.
• Ensure surgical operatories remain fully equipped, sterile, and prepared for procedures.
• Stay current with advancements in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery through continuing education.
• Help uphold the practice's reputation for clinical excellence and compassionate patient care.
