Job summary

MedNorth Health Center in Wilmington, NC is expanding vision services and seeks a licensed optometrist to join our growing practice. The role involves performing comprehensive eye examinations, prescribing corrective lenses, and assessing visual function for patients of all ages.

You will work 20 hours per week, 4 hours daily Monday through Friday with some Saturdays, and you may hire your own technician. Expect a modern, state-of-the-art clinic with EMR documentation and a collaborative team

Qualifications

• Must hold a Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school.
• Must possess a state-issued license for O.D. and optometry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• In-depth knowledge of eye-related disorders and treatments.
• Proficiency with modern eye care techniques and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough routine eye examinations and assessments.
• Prescribe corrective lenses and medications as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate medical files and documentation in the EMR.
