Job description

Bidwell Optometry in Folsom, California is looking for an Associate Optometrist to provide comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages, manage ocular surface diseases, and participate in myopia control services.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine vision exams and fit contact lenses.
• Manage dry eye and other ocular surface diseases using advanced in‑office IPL therapy.
• Utilize state‑of‑the‑art diagnostic technology, including digital retinal imaging, topography, inflammatory testing, and automated pre‑testing equipment.
• Participate in myopia control services and co‑manage ocular disease and surgical cases as needed.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records via the streamlined EHR and optical systems.
• Ensure efficient patient flow and provide consistent patient education while upholding the highest standard of care.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate brings strong clinical expertise in comprehensive eye care, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a heartfelt dedication to patient‑centered care. Experience in dry eye management, contact lens fitting, IPL treatments, aesthetic procedures, or myopia control is highly desirable, though not required.
